The Design Control section is needed in your QMS to define how your company ensures that design calculations, drawings, and specifications comply with applicable Code and customer requirements.
It assigns responsibilities, establishes personnel qualifications, and controls the review, approval, distribution, and revision of design
documents.
This helps ensure that fabrication follows current, approved instructions and provides documented evidence that your company controls it’s design activities, including work subcontracted to others.
